The Basics
What is a 'static' website?
Unlike common platforms like WordPress that are slow and vulnerable to hacking, we build your site using a high-speed framework. This means it loads instantly for your customers, improves your local Google ranking, and is virtually unhackable.
Do I own my domain and website?
Yes. You remain the owner of your digital presence. While we handle the technical heavy lifting, the domain is registered in your name. If you choose to move away from PacketNine after your initial 3-month commitment, you take your domain and content with you. (Note: Our proprietary code and Zoho configurations are part of the managed service and are not transferable).
What happens if I need to change my phone number or prices?
Just drop us a message. Basic text and image updates are included in your subscription. As your IT partner, we aim to have small changes live within 24 to 48 hours.
Email & Technical
How much storage do I get with my professional email?
Every Professional Foundation includes a massive 50GB professional mailbox. This ensures you never have to worry about deleting old customer inquiries or large photo attachments.
Will my emails end up in the spam folder?
No. Coming from a networking background, we handle the complex records (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC) to ensure your professional emails and invoices land directly in your customer’s inbox.
Can I use my PacketNine email on my phone?
Yes. We provide setup guides for iPhone and Android so you can respond to customers professionally while you’re on-site or on the move.
The Professional Foundation
What exactly is included in the £29/mo Foundation?
The Foundation is your essential business infrastructure. It includes your custom high-speed website, a 50GB professional mailbox, an email alias, secure SSL hosting, and direct access to our IT support for any technical questions. It is designed to be the rock-solid base that your business grows from.
Can I use the Foundation without the extra upgrades?
Absolutely. Many of our clients start with the Foundation to secure their professional image and email. You only add the managed infrastructure upgrades-like the Service Manager or Finance Portal-when your workload requires that extra automation.
Do you handle my website's security and updates?
Yes. As part of your managed service, we handle all security patches, server maintenance, and SSL renewals. Unlike other providers, we don’t charge extra for ‘maintenance plans’; it’s all built into your monthly Foundation fee.
Modular Pricing
Is there an additional setup fee for Managed Upgrades?
Yes. While the Professional Foundation covers your core site and email, specialized upgrades like the Service Manager or TradeHub Finance require intensive technical architecture and database configuration. These carry a one-time ‘Integration Fee’ to ensure the system is perfectly tailored to your business workflow from day one.
Am I locked into a long-term contract?
No. We offer a simple 3-month minimum commitment to get your business engine running and indexed by Google. After that, you are on a rolling monthly basis and free to stay or leave as your business needs change.
Can I add more features later?
Absolutely. Our system is modular. You can start with the Professional Foundation and add the Service Manager, Appointment Booking, or TradeHub Finance upgrades at any time as your business scales.
Why do you charge a 'Setup & Integration' fee?
This one-time fee covers the manual labor of building your custom site, procuring your domain, and the expert technical architecture required to integrate your 50GB mailbox and chosen business tools.
Managed Business Tools
Do I need to be 'tech-savvy' to use the CRM or Finance Portal?
No. We handle the complex technical configuration for you. We provide a simple ‘Quick Start’ guide tailored to your trade so you can manage leads and invoices with zero stress.
Can I create and send invoices from my phone?
Yes. With the TradeHub Finance upgrade, you can generate professional branded invoices and take card payments directly from your mobile while standing on a job site.
Cancellations & Ownership
How do I cancel my subscription?
After your initial 3-month commitment, you can cancel at any time by providing 30 days’ notice via email. We will then begin the offboarding process and schedule your service de-provisioning.
What happens if I want to move my domain away?
You own your domain. If you decide to leave, there is a flat £25 release fee. This covers the technical labor required to de-provision our secure DNS records, hand over the SSL certificates, and ensure a safe transfer to your new provider.
Can I take my customer data with me?
Yes. You own your customer and financial data. Upon cancellation, we will provide you with a full export of your leads, contacts, and transaction history in a standard CSV/Excel format so you can migrate to another system easily.
What is the 3-month minimum commitment for?
This period covers the critical phase of launching your infrastructure, ensuring your site is indexed by Google, and stabilizing your professional email reputation. If you cancel before this period ends, the remaining balance of the initial term will be due.
Can I keep the website code if I leave?
While you own all your content (text, logos, and images), the high-performance ‘Business Engine’ code and custom automation configurations are proprietary to PacketNine. These are provided as a managed service and cannot be transferred to third-party hosting.
